About this Apprenticeship
A three and a half year apprenticeship at thyssenkrupp Hohenlimburg GmbH, with training at the plant and vocational school. Metal fabricators make metal structures such as industrial plants, cranes and vehicle bodies, and carry out maintenance and repairs.
What You'll Learn
- Make individual parts and assemblies using technical drawings and parts lists
- Use different processing methods and machines, and handle materials and supplies
- Assemble and dismantle metal structures
- Understand the importance of workplace safety and environmental protection
- Plan and organise work and assess the results
- As a metal fabricator, you make metal structures such as industrial plants, cranes and vehicle bodies.
- You carry out maintenance and repairs and teach customers how to operate structures and systems.
