At the site in Andernach, Germany – the world's largest production facility of its kind – 1.5 million tonnes of packaging steel are produced annually. We supply around 400 customers in 80 countries with our tinplate, which is used, among other things, for the further processing of food and pet food cans, containers for chemical-technical fillings, as well as for crown corks and screw caps. Basics: In your training you will learn and cover basics of organic, inorganic and physical chemistry; Theory: You will be trained in analytical chemistry, among other things, to identify and quantify substances; Practice: During your training you will rotate through various departments within the Surface Technology and Chemistry team, e.g. environmental analysis, electrochemistry or organic coating. In the process, you will learn to handle highly sensitive measuring instruments, laboratory equipment, analysis methods and safety regulations in the laboratory; Further training content: Quality control, documentation of laboratory results and reporting are also central elements of your training at Rasselstein; Training duration: 3.5 years

Intermediate school leaving certificate (Mittlere Reife) or higher; enjoyment of chemistry and natural sciences; precision and care as well as analytical thinking
