Structural Mechanic Shipbuilding, Surface Vessels

• Assembly, fitting and fastening of shipbuilding components and work with the respective ship systems
• Carrying out grinding, flame-cutting and tack-welding work according to the given construction documents and quality standards, and additional standard adjustment work
• Applying AH markings, building pallets and racks, and reworking edge joints
• Responsibility for acceptance of the manufactured models
• Carrying out light forging work in cold and hot forming

• Completed vocational training as a structural mechanic in shipbuilding and fulfilment of all requirements of the relevant training regulation
• Several years of professional experience, preferably with knowledge of forging
• Strong organisational skills, structured way of working and conceptual thinking
• Technical understanding combined with creativity and flexibility
• Initiative and strong teamwork and cooperation skills
