Apprenticeship: Abitur Graduate and Retail Business Manager Program for Future Managers

For the training start on 01.08.2027, toom is looking for you as a future toomworker for a training program to become a junior manager in our toom DIY store's garden area. Within 18 months you earn your title as a retail clerk, followed by 22 months of further training to become a certified retail business manager (Handelsfachwirt) and the trainer certificate (AdA).

• In the Abitur graduate and retail business manager program for future managers, you are involved in our company from day one and get to know retail, toom and all processes up close in the garden area from different perspectives
• Within 18 months you already hold your title as a retail clerk (m/f/d), then complete the further training to become a Handelsfachwirt and the trainer certificate (AdA) in 22 months
• You go through the various specialist departments in the garden area, acquire specific product knowledge of our ranges and learn how to advise customers optimally and conduct sales conversations
• You also accompany the garden area's managers in their daily work and are perfectly prepared for starting as a junior manager
• About every 6 weeks you attend 5-day theory modules at our training provider in Neuwied and benefit from excellent learning conditions in small course groups

• General university entrance qualification or advanced technical college entrance qualification
• Outgoing personality and enjoyment of dealing with customers
• Interest in retail and in our garden range
• A high level of communication skills
• Enjoy working in a team and later leading one yourself
• High commitment, resilience and plenty of talent for self-organization
• Regional flexibility (for the further training to become a Handelsfachwirt)
