Retail Sales Specialist / Sales Assistant Apprenticeship, Garden Department

An apprenticeship in the garden department at a toom DIY store, starting on 1 August 2027. Train as a sales assistant in two years or a retail sales specialist in three years. You will learn about garden centre products, customer advice, and sales processes, with support from seminars and specialist training.

• Learn about the garden centre's different departments, from houseplants and garden building materials to lawnmowers and barbecues
• Take responsibility for your own projects
• Keep developing through apprentice seminars and specialist training so you are well prepared for your exams
• Sales assistant, garden department, two years: learn about advising customers, displaying goods, operating the till, and the daily running of the garden department.
• Retail sales specialist, garden department, three years: also deepen your knowledge of business topics, take responsibility for your own projects, and develop your sales skills.
