Trainee as Sales Assistant

• You enjoy dealing with people and are interested in trade? Do you have a lower secondary or intermediate school leaving certificate? Then start your two-year training as a sales assistant and discover how varied advising our customers, product presentation and working in our market can be! You start your training with us on 01.08.2027. During your training you will learn the different operational processes and departments at Selgros:
• Assortment maintenance: You ensure that the product range stays current (restocking, placing correctly and attractively, checking stocks/prices/labels).
• Goods receipt: You accept deliveries, check quantity and quality, book goods into the system and store them correctly.
• Customer services: You advise customers, answer questions, support with complaints/exchanges and find suitable solutions.
• Warehouse and logistics processes: You ensure the flow of goods (picking, packing, inventory) and pay attention to order and safety.

• Customer orientation & communication skills: friendly, helpful, can explain and listen well.
• Reliability & sense of responsibility: keeps agreements, works carefully (e.g. at checkout, goods receipt, orders).
• Basic arithmetic & numerical understanding: for change, price promotions, quantities/stocks.
• Digital affinity: no fear of merchandise management systems, scanners, digital processes.
• (Physical) resilience & flexibility: stays calm even in stressful times; willingness to work changing hours and on Saturdays.
• Own initiative & willingness to learn: pitches in, asks questions, accepts feedback and develops further.
