• As part of your thesis you research newly developed lasers and welding optics with special beam properties
• You conduct quality and feasibility studies on material processing, in particular on beam measurement and welding of metals
• By determining and optimizing suitable laser parameters and processing strategies you investigate possibilities for further development of processes
• You qualify optical characteristics both empirically and computationally
• You document and evaluate your investigations in a structured manner as part of your thesis

• Your studies in engineering, physics, physical engineering or technical optics form your professional basis, alternatively you bring a comparable qualification
• Ideally you have initial experience and theoretical knowledge in the areas of laser, optics and/or laser material processing
• With a structured and independent way of working you handle your tasks carefully and responsibly
• Your quick comprehension as well as your analytical and conceptual skills support you in investigating optical and material processing relationships
• In exchange with the team you contribute initiative and communicate confidently in German and English both verbally and in writing
