Legal Counsel (Germany & International)

As Legal Counsel, you advise several national and, where needed, international companies and functions of the Vaillant Group across all relevant areas of commercial law, excluding in particular labour, tax and patent law. Vaillant is a family-owned company and one of the world's leading providers of heat pumps, digital services and efficient gas heating appliances.

• Advise several national and, where needed, international companies and functions of the Vaillant Group across all relevant areas of commercial law, excluding in particular labour, tax and patent law
• Draft, review and negotiate national and international contracts of many kinds, identifying and assessing legal risks and developing practical solutions
• Accompany strategic projects such as restructurings, corporate law measures or corporate governance initiatives together with interdisciplinary teams
• Manage external law firms, define suitable legal strategies and ensure efficient, high-quality handling of complex legal matters and disputes
• Monitor legal developments and relevant case law, identify the need for action early and proactively advise departments on legal impacts
• Act as a sparring partner for managers and management levels, help shape decisions, run training sessions and promote knowledge sharing within the Vaillant Group

• Qualification: You have passed two German state law exams, at least one with the grade "vollbefriedigend" (good) and the other at least with "befriedigend" (satisfactory)
• Experience: You have at least three years of professional experience in corporate and commercial law at a renowned law firm or an international company
• Know-how & skills: Your strength is the legal analysis of complex matters and clear, solution-oriented advice for departments and management stakeholders in an international environment
• Nice to have: Experience in corporate governance, compliance, international contract design, purchasing law, sales law or a production environment is a plus
• Language skills: You communicate fluently in negotiations in English and feel confident in an international working environment
• Personality: You impress with a confident manner, strong communication and negotiation skills, intercultural sensitivity and an independent, responsible way of working
