Senior Category Manager

In your role you shape the international purchasing strategy for a strategically important product group and contribute directly to the competitiveness of the Vaillant Group. Together with international departments and suppliers you create sustainable value, drive innovation and secure supply to plants worldwide.

• You develop and implement an international material group strategy and identify market trends, innovation potential and new sourcing opportunities for the Vaillant Group
• Your responsibility includes building, selecting and further developing a high-performing international supplier portfolio to sustainably optimize quality, cost and security of supply
• By negotiating prices, contracts and commercial terms you use all purchasing levers to create long-term competitive advantages
• Together with interdisciplinary teams you support product launches and ensure a stable supply chain even in challenging supply situations
• You build professional and trusting relationships with international suppliers, hold management discussions as equals and drive their sustainable development
• Through active supplier risk, quality and change management you help ensure the Vaillant Group's high quality and sustainability standards

• Qualification: You have a successfully completed degree in business administration, industrial engineering, engineering or a comparable field
• Experience: You bring solid professional experience in strategic purchasing, category management or commodity management at an international industrial company
• Know-how and skills: Negotiation skills, analytical thinking and confident use of SAP and Microsoft Office distinguish you, as do fluent business English skills
• Nice to have: Ideally you have experience in purchasing technical components, in international procurement markets and in supplier and risk management
• Personality: You impress with strong communication skills, assertiveness and stress resistance as well as the ability to successfully bring together different interests in an international environment
