Release Train Engineer (RTE)

As a Release Train Engineer, you join the leadership team of an Agile Release Train and improve collaboration, delivery and agile development across several teams at Vaillant Group.

• As a Release Train Engineer (RTE), you are part of the leadership team of an Agile Release Train (ART) and play a key role in successful collaboration between several agile development teams
• You improve the effectiveness, efficiency and ongoing development of collaboration and delivery across teams within the ART
• You facilitate and organize key ART events such as PI Planning, demos, reviews and ART synchronization meetings
• You identify and manage dependencies, risks, integration needs and delivery targets, ensuring lasting solutions within the ART and across ARTs through regular exchanges with neighboring ARTs
• You make progress, metrics and achievement of goals transparent and support decisions based on data
• You coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners and development teams on agile methods and principles and continuously develop the ART's agile maturity
• You drive organizational changes to improve development flow and the ART organization, making an important contribution to transforming the development environment

• Working approach: You structure collaboration within the Agile Release Train in a clear, transparent and goal focused way and establish effective processes for successful product development
• Experience: You have several years of experience supporting development organizations in manufacturing companies and sound knowledge of embedded software development and scaled agile frameworks
• Facilitation and coaching: You confidently lead events across the ART and support teams, Scrum Masters and stakeholders through focused coaching and mentoring
• Collaboration: You connect different departments, encourage collaboration across functions and develop shared solutions across teams
• Analytical skills: You use data and work confidently with tools such as Jira, Confluence and Polarion to provide clarity and drive targeted improvements.
• Communication: You explain complex subjects appropriately for your audience and remain calm and focused on solutions in challenging situations or conflicts
• Personality: You show initiative, empathy and strong communication skills, put agile values such as openness, courage, respect, focus and commitment into practice, and build trust across teams.
• Strategic perspective: You maintain an overview even in complex development environments, identify opportunities for improvement, develop team structures and drive lasting improvements
• International work: You work confidently in an international environment and communicate professionally in German and English
