About this Apprenticeship

What You'll Learn
- Complete varied practical placements in residential, outpatient, mental health and children's nursing, as well as in hospital
- Learn nursing and medical skills, such as wound care, managing medicines and checking vital signs
- Kindly support older people in daily life, from personal care to moving around
- Observe, assess and record residents' health
- Work with qualified nurses, doctors, therapists and family members
Requirements
- An intermediate secondary school leaving certificate or a recognised equivalent, completed two-year vocational training, or completed nursing helper or assistant training
- Enjoy working with older people and have an interest in care work
- Empathy, reliability and a sense of responsibility
