Apprenticeship as Automotive Mechatronics Technician Commercial Vehicle Technology 2027

You will learn to perform testing and diagnostic tasks on commercial vehicles correctly. You will maintain the mechanics, electrical engineering, and control technology of the vehicles. You will learn to rectify faults and malfunctions using the latest computer technology and to assemble, disassemble, and repair truck components. You will get to know future topics such as e-mobility and digitalization in commercial vehicles. New vehicle equipment as well as installation and retrofitting work are also part of your tasks. Your 3.5-year apprenticeship consists of three parts: Inter-company training: Develop your craft skills at the automotive guild. Theoretical training: Learn fundamentals at vocational school. Practical training: In our workshop you will learn the connection between real craftsmanship and state-of-the-art vehicle technology. You already have your (technical) high school diploma, secondary school diploma, or a good lower secondary school diploma, or are on your way to obtaining one. You are interested in technology, vehicles, and electronics and enjoy solving technical problems. You ideally already have manual dexterity and a good technical understanding; you will learn everything else with us. You like working with colleagues, are reliable, and approach tasks in a structured manner. You have good written and spoken German skills. And most importantly: You are keen on an apprenticeship at Volvo Trucks and would like to get to know us beforehand through an internship.
