Apprenticeship as a Forestry Worker, 2027

The forestry worker apprenticeship follows the dual system. Theoretical training is delivered in block classes at Berufskolleg am Eichholz and the Forestry Training Centre in Arnsberg. Practical training takes place around the Wahnbach Reservoir.

Supporting the production of saleable timber products; protecting and maintaining forests and special habitats; harvesting and processing timber and other forest products; contributing to forest renewal, forest protection and nature conservation; maintaining and repairing the machines and equipment used; planning, preparing and monitoring work together with the team.

Successful school-leaving qualification, at least an advanced lower secondary school certificate; solid basic knowledge of mathematics and biology; enjoyment of working outdoors in all weather; enjoyment of practical manual work; interest in planning and organizing work steps; reliability, teamwork, appreciation of nature and environmental awareness.
