Case Worker in the Area of Maintenance Advance at the Youth Welfare Office

The Youth Welfare Office consists of nine departments and has a total of around 800 employees. It is the provider of public youth welfare. Its tasks include benefits and other tasks for the benefit of young people and families. The Department of Economic Youth Welfare includes the areas of Economic Assistance, Maintenance Advance, Educational Support, and Counseling and Supervision of Youth Welfare Facilities.

Receipt of applications under the Maintenance Advance Act including counseling of applicants; examination of applications and decision-making; material-legal examination of reclaims; enforcement of reclaims; other legal matters (e.g., independent processing of complaints and opposition cases, ongoing correspondence with lawyers and courts, initiation of criminal proceedings for violation of maintenance obligation).

Completed advanced training as a Certified Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt/in) or a comparable qualification or equivalent skills and experience, or a completed three-year administrative training (e.g., Administrative Assistant or Specialist for Office Communication) with many years of relevant professional experience as a personnel development measure to prepare for the area of responsibility. Teamwork, resilience, organizational skills, communication skills, and a sense of responsibility. Suitability for screen work. Desirable: Expert knowledge in the areas of Maintenance Advance Act, Civil Code, Code of Civil Procedure; previous experience in case processing; knowledge of budget, cash, and accounting; experience in handling legal texts.
