For the apprenticeship, you should have successfully completed your Realschule with good grades in math and physics. The apprenticeship lasts 3.5 years. Through good theoretical and practical performance during the apprenticeship, you can achieve early admission to the IHK final examination, shortening your apprenticeship period.

As a mechatronics technician, you are part of our strong assembly and maintenance team and are a specialist in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of complex mechatronic machines, systems, and production systems. You take on tasks from the fields of mechanics, electronics, and information technology. Since mechatronic systems are gaining increasing importance, this profession is future-oriented and offers you the best chances for a successful career. During your apprenticeship, you will learn to work independently on electrical and mechanical systems. Metalworking and electrical engineering, as well as the basics of hydraulics, pneumatics, and control technology, are on your curriculum. This means you learn how to read technical plans, how to assemble components and subassemblies into machines and systems, how programming of mechatronic and pneumatic systems works, and how these systems are configured.
