• Assembly For the apprenticeship, you need a good lower secondary school diploma or good intermediate school diploma. The regular apprenticeship lasts 3.5 years. Through good theoretical and practical performance during the apprenticeship, you can achieve early admission to the IHK final examination, shortening your apprenticeship to 3 years. Another option for students with an intermediate school diploma is attending a 3-year vocational college. This allows you to acquire the entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences and the possibility of a subsequent FH study. Here, too, the apprenticeship shortens to 3 years.

You start at full speed from the beginning of your apprenticeship: Your first project is the production of a functional remote-controlled truck. For this, you manufacture the individual components yourself and thus learn various manufacturing processes such as turning and CNC milling. During the assembly of the truck, you deepen your knowledge of mechanics. Courses such as measurement and control technology complement your apprenticeship. The maintenance of machines in the machine service area, as well as the elimination of malfunctions on complex production systems and the reduction of machine downtimes, are part of your tasks. In addition, you work in the field of research and development on future-oriented products and learn in the operational specialist departments how to professionally disassemble and assemble gearboxes, for example. You also gain insights into business processes and quality assurance systems, which you plan, execute, and control as a team.
