B.Eng. Mechanical Engineering Specializing in Design and Development (DH)

For the start in autumn 2027 we have already found great students, so applications are no longer possible. However, from May 1, 2027, you can apply again for the start in autumn 2028. If you want to continue your education after your studies, the following further training opportunities are available: Master, Trainee, various personnel development measures, research and development, production management, sales worldwide, design and product development, production and assembly planning. The standard study period is 3 years. The program alternates in three- or six-month blocks between theory and practice phases. At the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) Ravensburg you learn the theory: mechanics, mechanical engineering, and business administration. These learning contents are then applied and deepened in your own projects during the practice phases at ZF Friedrichshafen AG. During the practice phase, it is possible to complete a semester abroad. The training contract guarantees you a regulated income from day one, securing your financial independence.

For the studies you need a good high school diploma (Abitur), technical college entrance qualification (Fachabitur), or a completed advanced technical college entrance qualification together with the passed DHBW academic aptitude test. Both the test and the very good advanced technical college entrance qualification must already be available at the time of application.
