Tool Mechanic

ZF Friedrichshafen offers a three-and-a-half-year tool mechanic apprenticeship in Schweinfurt. The training covers the manufacture and maintenance of die-casting, injection-molding, stamping and forming tools as well as metal and plastic parts.

Manufacture die-casting, injection-molding, stamping and forming tools as well as press and embossing molds; produce metal and plastic parts; maintain tools and equipment for stamping and forming technology; possible work in manufacturing, toolmaking, assembly, quality assurance, maintenance, customer service and experimental workshops.

At least a qualifying lower secondary school certificate, also known as the “Quali.”

Targeted professional development measures; an additional Industrial Electrical Engineering qualification available based on personal suitability.
