Machining Mechanic

If you want to continue your education after the apprenticeship, the following further training opportunities are available: Master craftsman, Technician, Bachelor of Engineering, Production, Tool and fixture making, Prototype construction. For the apprenticeship you need a lower secondary school diploma (Hauptschulabschluss). The regular apprenticeship lasts 3.5 years. Through good theoretical and practical performance during your apprenticeship or with a corresponding school education, you can achieve early admission to the IHK final exam. This shortens the apprenticeship to 3 years. As a machining mechanic, you plan and machine components for our products. For production, you create programs for CNC-controlled machine tools, then document and monitor the process. After completion of the components, you carry out quality checks and coordinate with other departments and customers if necessary. During your apprenticeship, you learn everything you need for your profession. Through the production of workpieces, you learn interesting processes such as turning, milling, or grinding.
