Automotive Mechatronics Technician for Inspection Services

Advising and supporting members and customers on technical matters and inspection services, as well as carrying out diagnostic work and automotive inspections on various types of vehicles. The role also includes order processing, customer service and cash handling.

Advise and support members and customers on technical matters and the service and inspection portfolio. Carry out diagnostic work, fault and malfunction searches, and functional tests on vehicles at the Oberhausen site and throughout the regional club area. Perform technical vehicle inspections, valuations and assessments of used vehicles, classic cars, caravans and motorhomes. Receive and process member enquiries and customer requests. Prepare and invoice orders, hand them over to and discuss them with customers, and handle cash management. Participate in trade fairs, events and campaign days, and provide support in the two-wheeler area.

Successfully completed vocational training as an automotive mechanic or automotive mechatronics technician, plus further training as a master automotive technician. At least four years of practical experience in an automotive business. Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, combustion and electric drives, and vehicle-specific components. Experience with measuring, inspection and diagnostic equipment; an interest in two-wheelers, motorhomes and caravans is desirable. Confident manner, strong service-oriented communication skills, good command of Microsoft 365 and a Category B driving licence.
