Accounts payable accountant focused on process improvement and digitalisation

Permanent full-time role for an experienced professional at ADAC SE in Munich, Bavaria. The role focuses on accounts payable, process improvement and digital invoice processing.

• Independently handle day-to-day accounts payable, particularly electronic invoice entry, monitoring the approval process, and maintaining and reconciling supplier accounts in the general and subsidiary ledgers.
• Reliably monitor payment dates, supplier debit balances and open items, and prepare clear reports on payment patterns and outstanding items for the intended audience.
• Help prepare monthly and annual accounts in an organised and timely way.
• Support internal and external accounts payable audits by carefully preparing relevant information.
• Actively contribute to projects and process improvements, including documenting and maintaining work instructions and process descriptions.
• Support the introduction and further development of digital invoice processing systems using your practical operational experience.
• Contribute your expertise to implementing regulatory requirements, such as GoBD and the German VAT Act (UStG).
• Independently carry out defined internal control checks under company guidelines, analyse deviations and follow them up. Maintain work instructions and process descriptions to ensure technical quality, traceability and consistent standards.

• You have completed commercial vocational training, for example as an industrial business administrator, tax clerk or in a comparable role.
• Ideally, you have further training in financial accounting or accounting.
• You have several years of experience in accounts payable or invoice checking.
• Good knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB) and VAT law is required.
• You have experience with SAP systems, such as SAP FI, MM and S/4HANA, and bulk data processing, such as Batch Input.
• You are confident using digital approval workflows and Microsoft Office.
