Nursing apprenticeship 2026 - Psychiatry

Full-time general nursing apprenticeship at the Gangelt site of the Alexianer Centre for Mental Health Aachen / Gangelt. The training prepares you to care for people of all ages and includes required placements in psychiatric care, long-term residential care, home care, paediatric care and acute hospital care. The apprenticeship starts on 1 August 2026 or 1 October 2026.

• Care for people of all ages, assist with medical procedures and treatments, and support their independence and quality of life
• Record care services and observations accurately and work closely with different specialist teams
• Maintain hygiene and quality standards to provide safe, professional care

• At least an intermediate school leaving certificate or an equivalent qualification
• An open, helpful and responsible personality with a caring attitude towards people
• Ideally a category B driving licence and the ability to travel to placements at different sites
• Flexibility to work shifts
• At least C1 language proficiency for clear and effective communication with residents and the team
