Nurses and geriatric nurses for neurological early rehabilitation Phase B

• Active participation in the development of neurological early rehabilitation Phase B, including the design of processes and standards in the nursing area
• Holistic, needs-oriented care and support for neurological patients with high care intensity and complex medical treatment needs
• Implementation of activating-therapeutic nursing
• Support and promotion of patients in mobilization, coping with daily life, and handling aids, in close cooperation with physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy
• Implementation of nursing and therapeutic measures specifically aimed at neurological rehabilitation
• Collaboration in interdisciplinary team meetings for continuous patient discussion and treatment planning
• Documentation and evaluation of the nursing process as well as participation in quality assurance measures

• Completed Ausbildung in health and nursing care, certified nurse or geriatric nurse
• Additional qualifications are desirable but not a prerequisite. e.g.:
• Further training as a health and nursing/geriatric nurse in neurological-neurosurgical early rehabilitation
• Experience in the areas of: Bobath, Kinesthetics and Basal Stimulation
• Professional competence in handling complex patient situations
• Sound knowledge of neurological diseases, deficits and resources
• Confident tracheostomy cannula management
• Experience in the care of multimorbid and intensive care patients
• Prior experience in activating-therapeutic nursing is desirable
• Patient and family orientation
• Motivation, with a willingness for constructive interdisciplinary cooperation and active participation in shaping an innovative rehabilitation concept
• Experience in emergency and airway management
