What You'll Learn
- Plan, carry out and assess psychological diagnostic and treatment measures
- Provide therapy as the patient's lead therapist
- Provide specialist therapies based on specific psychological approaches
- Advise and support patients and their relatives
- Prepare psychological reports, including for youth welfare offices and courts
- Attend team meetings and supervision sessions
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent qualification in psychology
- Enjoyment of and commitment to working with people with mental illness
- Experience working with offenders with mental health conditions is desirable
- Willingness to work in teams with people from different professions
- Communication and teamwork skills
