Civil Engineer Structural Engineering

To support the team, Autobahn GmbH des Bundes is looking for a civil engineer (f/m/d) for structural engineering in Heilbronn, starting at the earliest possible time. The work involves bridges, tunnels and other engineering structures on the motorway. Pay follows pay group E13 of the TV-Autobahn.

• Responsibility for engineering structures (bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, noise barriers, culverts) across the whole cycle of planning, construction and operation, and prioritising maintenance and replacement construction measures
• Planning and design according to HOAI (basic evaluation, preliminary and design planning, tender documents), including defining construction methods and reviewing execution documents for engineering structures
• Carrying out approval reviews and providing technical support for planning approval procedures, including coordination with FBA, public interest bodies and the specialist authorities involved
• Managing and coordinating external engineering firms and interdisciplinary coordination with road engineering, surveying, environmental/landscape planning, land acquisition and operations/traffic; taking part in construction meetings and controlling deadlines and milestones
• Carrying out condition assessments and determining remaining service life, and developing concepts for replacement structures up to obtaining building rights
• Technical contact for recalculations, approval, construction execution, technical regulations and fundamental questions, preparing expert opinions on third-party plans (e.g. cable crossings, photovoltaics) and communicating with municipalities, associations and residents

• Completed university or university of applied sciences degree in civil engineering with a specialisation in structural engineering, or equivalent expertise, qualifications and experience
• Sound knowledge and many years of professional experience in structural engineering; in-depth technical, legal and methodological knowledge of the Federal Trunk Roads Act (FStrG), the Additional Technical Contract Conditions and Guidelines for Engineering Structures (ZTV-ING) and procurement law (GWB, VgV, UVgO) is also desirable
• Experience in releasing execution documents under § 4 FStrG is desirable
• Knowledge of iTWO and good MS Office skills
