Water Protection Officer Water Technology Case Handler

To support our Operations team at the Regensburg branch, Autobahn GmbH is looking for an engineer (m/f/d) for water protection as soon as possible. Pay follows pay grade E12.

• Advice on and organization of work for operational maintenance (servicing, care, cleaning) and structural maintenance (upkeep and repair) of the road maintenance service facilities, in line with the tasks of the water protection officer defined under § 65 WHG
• Monitoring compliance with regulations in the interest of water protection, in particular through regular inspection of wastewater facilities for functionality and proper operation
• Working toward the use of suitable wastewater treatment methods, including methods for proper recovery or disposal of residues arising from wastewater treatment
• Technical support and tendering of cleaning, inspection and renovation work on drainage facilities and rainwater treatment plants
• Informing employees about the water pollution caused in the operation and about the facilities and measures to prevent it, taking water law regulations into account
• Coordination with the responsible water authorities, extension and changes of discharge permits and invoice checking of services from the special-purpose and maintenance associations
• Technical advice on the introduction, creation and maintenance of basin logbooks for rainwater treatment plants

• Completed degree (Bachelor / Diplom-Ing. FH) in environmental engineering or civil engineering with a focus on hydraulic engineering, water management or similar, or equivalent suitability gained through professional experience
• Sound professional experience in the above field
• Specialist knowledge in road drainage and water protection
• Knowledge, skills and experience in the main laws and regulations (e.g. WHG, ZTV, GWB – Part 4, VgV, VOB, HOAI, HVA F-StB, HVA B StB, REB)
• Driver's license class B and willingness to drive a company car
• Fluent German
• Desirable: Experience dealing with administrative bodies, especially district offices, cities and municipalities and other project sponsors
• Strong social and communication skills
