Vehicle Mechatronics Technician / Workshop Employee, 50% Position, Mannheim Motorway Maintenance Depot

The Mannheim motorway maintenance depot is seeking a vehicle mechatronics technician / workshop employee for a 50% position, starting as soon as possible. The role runs until 30 June 2027 and includes maintaining vehicles and equipment, on-call duties and winter road maintenance.

• Maintain and repair vehicles and equipment
• Fit vehicles with attachments
• Carry out scheduled safety inspections on vehicles, trailers, equipment and other depot facilities
• Train operational staff in operating, maintaining and caring for vehicles and equipment
• Take part in on-call duties and winter road maintenance

• Completed vocational training as an agricultural and construction machinery mechanic or mechatronics technician, or as a vehicle mechanic or mechatronics technician, or a similar qualification or suitability
• Category CE driving licence and willingness to drive company vehicles even in difficult conditions
• General knowledge and practical skills in gas and electric welding
• Extensive knowledge and practical skills in securing loads correctly
• Experience repairing the relevant vehicles and equipment, as well as experience in hydraulics and electronics
• Willingness to use computer applications is desirable
• Knowledge of SAP is desirable
• Training in high-voltage systems is desirable
• Experience with VDE electrical standards is desirable
