Winter Service Employee at the Plauen Motorway Maintenance Depot

To support the team at the Plauen motorway maintenance depot, Die Autobahn GmbH des Bundes is looking for a winter service employee on a fixed-term basis for a maximum of 6 months from 01.11.2026. The role ensures safety on the German motorway network, with responsibility for people and large machinery.

• Snow clearing and gritting
• Tree and shrub work and green space maintenance
• Cleaning work along the motorway, e.g. drainage pipes and ditches
• Traffic safety and clearing accident sites

• Successfully completed skilled trade training in construction, agriculture, forestry, or horticulture and landscaping
• Manual skills and good technical understanding
• Health suitability for physical work outdoors in all weather
• Willingness to work shifts
• Driving licence class C/CE without tonnage restriction
• Place of residence no more than 30 minutes from the motorway maintenance depot
• Enjoyment of teamwork
• High resilience, decisiveness and commitment
• Strong social and communication skills
• Committed, reliable, responsible, independent way of working
