About this Apprenticeship
Train as a road maintenance worker at Wangen motorway maintenance depot, starting as soon as possible. The tailored training program and initial contract last 15 months, or 12 months if you already hold a category C/CE driving licence.
What You'll Learn
- Help maintain and repair roads, and maintain, care for and clean the road structure and associated facilities
- Help secure and inspect work sites and accident sites
- Drive, operate and maintain small vehicles, machinery and equipment
- Help carry out winter road maintenance
Requirements
- Completed training in a skilled trade or relevant work experience that enables you to carry out the stated duties, preferably in construction, agriculture, forestry or horticulture, and willingness to complete road maintenance training
- A category B driving licence and a category C/CE licence, or willingness to obtain the C/CE licence at the employer's expense
- Willingness to drive company vehicles
- Physical fitness for demanding work
- Willingness to work shifts and be on call for winter and summer maintenance

- There are no weekend classes at Autobahn GmbH
- We pay for teaching materials and your category C/CE driving licence
- You start in pay group 4 of TV-Autobahn and move to pay group 6 after passing the training program exam. Relevant previous work experience is assessed individually when deciding your pay step. Road maintenance staff also receive hardship allowances and travel and meal payments under Autobahn GmbH's pay rules.
