About this Apprenticeship
To support the road operations team, Autobahn GmbH is looking, as soon as possible, for road maintenance workers (f/m/d), road builders (f/m/d) or career changers training to become road maintenance workers (m/f/d) for the Osnabrück motorway maintenance depot. Career changers are first hired on a 15-month fixed-term contract with a qualification program (12 months with a C/CE driving licence). Pay grade E 4-6 of the TV-Autobahn.
What You'll Learn
- Carrying out repair, upkeep, maintenance, care and cleaning work on the road body, ancillary facilities and road equipment (e.g. road surface repairs and surface treatments, paving, marking work, installation, maintenance and cleaning of traffic guidance devices)
- Setting up, maintaining and checking traffic signs
- Securing and checking work and accident sites, traffic safety
- Care of greenery and trees
- Carrying out winter service work on the motorways and ancillary facilities
- Career changers: Helping with road upkeep and repair, maintenance, care and cleaning of the road body and ancillary facilities
- Career changers: Helping to secure and check work and accident sites
- Career changers: Driving, operating and maintaining small vehicles, machines and equipment
- Career changers: Helping with winter service work
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as a road maintenance worker (f/m/d) or road builder (f/m/d)
- Experience in road operations service
- Driving licence class C/CE and willingness to drive company vehicles
- Physical fitness and health suitable for road maintenance service and year-round physical work outdoors
- Willingness to work shifts and on-call duty in winter and summer service
- Career changers: Completed skilled trade training, preferably in construction, agriculture, forestry or gardening, and willingness to take part in qualification in road operations service
- Career changers: Driving licence class B and C/CE, or willingness to obtain the C/CE licence at the employer's expense
- Career changers: Willingness to drive company vehicles
- Career changers: Physical fitness and health suitable for road maintenance service and year-round physical work outdoors
- Career changers: Willingness to work shifts and on-call duty in winter and summer service
