Apprenticeship as Office Management Clerk

The apprenticeship lasts 3 years and starts on 1 September 2027. Theoretical training takes place in block instruction at the Municipal Vocational School for Office Management and Industrial Clerks. The final examination is conducted by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria. With elective qualifications No. 2 "Use instruments of commercial control and monitoring" and No. 3 "Design and implement commercial processes in small and medium-sized enterprises", you prepare for versatile deployment at AWM after the apprenticeship. Focus areas include cost and performance accounting, account management, and bookkeeping. Practical training content is conveyed in various departments of the Munich Waste Management Company. Internships take place in areas such as finance and accounting with controlling, human resources, administration and law, customer service, or the workshop. During internships, you organize the entire office workflow, assist with personnel matters, handle business correspondence, and take on various tasks in areas like accounting (accounts payable and receivable, receivables management) and controlling. Customer and service orientation, commercial interest, legal understanding, and good knowledge of German and mathematics are of great importance for this apprenticeship. During your apprenticeship, you receive a training allowance according to the Collective Agreement for Trainees in the Public Sector (TVAöD). The current training allowance amounts to: 1st year: €1,368.26 (gross), 2nd year: €1,418.20 (gross), 3rd year: €1,464.02 (gross). To optimally balance family and career, we also offer the possibility of a part-time apprenticeship.
