Apprenticeship as Environmental Technologist for Circular Economy and Waste Management

The apprenticeship lasts 3 years and starts on 1 September 2027. Theoretical training takes place for 12 weeks per apprenticeship year in block instruction at the State Vocational School Lauingen and three weeks at the Bavarian Administrative School (BVS) Lauingen for inter-company training, divided into various learning fields. Focus areas are plant engineering, natural sciences, environmental analytics, machinery and equipment technology, and disposal technology. During your time in Lauingen, you are accommodated free of charge in a student dormitory. Practical training content is conveyed in various departments of the Munich Waste Management Company, primarily at one of our twelve recycling centers in hazardous waste collection. Exciting and varied tasks await you. You accept hazardous materials at the recycling centers, identify waste, maintain technical equipment, and advise customers on proper waste separation and disposal. As an Environmental Technologist for Circular Economy and Waste Management, you become an expert for smooth operations in hazardous waste collection. Pronounced interest in chemical processes and corresponding knowledge in mathematics, biology, and physics are therefore of great importance for this apprenticeship. During your apprenticeship, you receive a training allowance according to the Collective Agreement for Trainees in the Public Sector (TVAöD). The current training allowance amounts to: 1st year: €1,368.26 (gross), 2nd year: €1,418.20 (gross), 3rd year: €1,464.02 (gross). To optimally balance family and career, we also offer the possibility of a part-time apprenticeship.
