Dual Students for the Computer Science B.Sc. Program (BHH) starting 01.08.2027, Hamburg

You will regularly alternate between studying at the BHH, vocational school, and practical phases at Berenberg. During your practical phases, you will work directly in our IT teams and gain insights into various technological topics and areas of responsibility. Experienced trainers and training officers will accompany you throughout the entire program and support your professional and personal development. The close integration of theory and practice allows you to directly apply and deepen the knowledge from your studies. You will earn two degrees: a Bachelor of Science and the recognized vocational qualification as an IT specialist. You will learn at three locations: at the BHH, at the vocational school, and at Berenberg. You will gain early practical experience in various IT areas and get to know the technological solutions of an international private bank. You will work on current IT topics, take on responsibility, and contribute your own ideas. After successful completion, very good prospects for your further career path at Berenberg await you. During your practical phases, you will get to know our Innovation & Technology division and the diverse tasks of our IT. You will gain insights into various areas, for example: software development, project management and business analysis, system technology and infrastructure, Windows, network and UNIX, cloud technologies, database administration. You will actively work in our teams from the start, take on your own tasks, and contribute your ideas, directly linking the theoretical content of your studies with practice. In addition, you have the opportunity to get involved in exciting projects, events, and initiatives.

You have a strong interest in computer science, innovative technologies, and digital solutions. Initial knowledge of object-oriented programming languages or system integration is an advantage but not a prerequisite. You enjoy independent and varied work. You are communicative, like working in a team, and approach other people openly. You hold a (technical) high school diploma with good grades.
