Apprenticeship as a Toolmaking Mechanic, Stamping Technology

Two apprenticeship positions as toolmaking mechanics specialising in stamping technology in the workshop of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Safety Engineering. The training covers the manufacture, assembly, inspection, maintenance and repair of tools for industrial series production.

• Distinguish, assign and handle materials and auxiliary materials
• Manufacture and inspect components and assemblies using different machining methods
• Assemble, disassemble and programme machines and systems
• Maintain operating equipment and repair components and assemblies
• Evaluate control engineering documents and apply control technology
• Create and test programmes for numerically controlled machine tools
• Apply company quality assurance systems and inspection methods

• Completed school education with at least satisfactory grades in mathematics and physics
• Lower secondary school certificate, intermediate school certificate, university of applied sciences entrance qualification or general university entrance qualification
• Enjoyment of learning and creating
• Interest in programming and openness to new technologies
• Native-level German or a German C1 certificate under the CEFR
