IT Service & Infrastructure Management Administrator

For these tasks we are looking for you as IT Service & Infrastructure Management Administrator (m/f/d). Our "Service Control Center" (SCC) team within BG-Phoenics is responsible for performing defined routine tasks and coordinating and monitoring various services. This includes homogeneous, centralized operations monitoring including pre-qualification for operational and service disruptions. Your responsibilities are both reactive (e.g. error handling) and proactive (e.g. early adaptation to resource requirements).

You take on defined routine tasks, including in change and patch management or batch processing. You ensure smooth operations in the data center within a complex IT environment through service and job control. You responsibly handle tasks in monitoring, trending and end-to-end analysis of IT infrastructure, services and applications. You process incidents affecting servers, services and data center infrastructure, proactively prevent their recurrence and resolve errors independently or pre-qualify them for the specialized teams. You actively participate in change and service level management processes. You create reports for specialist departments and management and identify and implement improvement measures, for example in the area of monitoring or automation.

You have completed a vocational training or have many years of experience in a relevant IT profession or have successfully completed a degree with an IT focus. You have expertise in at least one of the following areas: Windows Server systems, VMware, Citrix, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Cisco, databases – and are characterized by a pronounced technical understanding. Knowledge of ITIL is an advantage. You are used to working independently, in a structured, analytical and result-oriented manner. Personal responsibility, team spirit and commitment are among your strengths. You have good communication skills to work effectively with other team members and technical service managers. You are willing to work shifts (current shift times: 5:00–21:00) and to be on call. Good German language skills (C1) round off your profile.
