AI Coordinator

For our headquarters in Hamburg, we are looking for an AI Coordinator (m/f/d) as soon as possible.

Control and further development of AI governance through development and updating of internal regulations, standards, and structured procedures for the use of AI in BG Verkehr. Regulatory assessment of AI applications, in particular by classification according to the EU AI Act, risk classification, derivation of required measures, and ongoing review of existing applications for compliance and risk situation. Coordination and technical support of AI projects from identification of suitable use cases through evaluation of AI concepts and solutions to implementation in cooperation with IT and specialist departments. Support in selection, procurement, and maintenance of AI solutions, particularly in the evaluation of provider solutions and data sources, in the creation of technical performance requirements, and in the maintenance of an AI register and audit-proof documentation of deployed AI applications. Design and implementation of training and awareness measures to promote safe, responsible, and competent handling of AI.

A completed university degree (Bachelor/FH), preferably in (business) informatics or administrative sciences with IT focus. Alternatively, you meet the career requirements for the higher occupational insurance service or possess equivalent practical knowledge and skills in the relevant field. Sound knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence including the EU AI Act (AI Act) and a good technical understanding of various AI systems and technologies, particularly machine learning, large language models (LLM), and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), including their application possibilities, limits, and typical risks. Professional experience in project management as well as in the analysis and design of processes and technologies, ideally in the context of organizational, digitalization, or IT projects, as well as basic knowledge in data protection and information security. Analytical thinking, strong communication and cooperation skills, and the ability to present complex issues understandably while considering technical, regulatory, and organizational requirements, and to develop viable solution approaches. Very good German language skills in word and writing, as well as willingness to travel and continuous further education due to the dynamic development of AI technologies and regulatory requirements.
