IT Specialist Platform Operations

CLAAS KGaA mbH is seeking an experienced IT Specialist Platform Operations in Harsewinkel to start as soon as possible, designing, automating and operating cloud native platforms with a focus on Kubernetes.

• Design, implement and manage cloud native platforms both on premises and in the cloud, focusing on Kubernetes
• Automate the entire lifecycle of our platforms using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and other automation approaches and technologies suited to requirements
• Establish governance processes for secure operations that comply with rules
• Work closely with other IT specialists, particularly in IT infrastructure
• Advise development teams and application owners on integrating their applications into our platforms
• Develop and document operating procedures and best practices.

• Completed degree in Computer Science and substantial professional experience
• Experience designing and implementing complex, automated and scalable platforms with particular attention to security
• Good knowledge and practical experience with container technologies, cloud platforms, Linux and networking
• Strong teamwork skills, a structured approach to work and a high level of personal responsibility
• Analytical and holistic thinking, with the ability to independently identify opportunities for technical improvement and implement efficient solutions
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics clearly
• International project experience, experience abroad and intercultural skills
• Interest in and openness to digital technologies, particularly artificial intelligence
• Very good written and spoken German and English.
