About this Apprenticeship
As a nursing professional you independently support and care for people of all ages to promote, maintain and restore their physical and mental health. The training lasts three years and mixes theory and practice. You are trained mainly in an elderly care facility near you, plus outpatient care and inpatient facilities. In the last year you decide whether to continue with general nursing or specialise in elderly care.
Requirements
- Empathetic, reliable, independent, team player
- Interest in medical, nursing and social tasks
- Intermediate school certificate (Realschulabschluss) or equivalent completed 10-year schooling, or
- Hauptschulabschluss with completed 2-year vocational training, or
- Hauptschulabschluss and completed training as an elderly care or nursing assistant
