Electrical Engineer as Expert for Testing Electrical Systems

The DEKRA Electrical and Building Technology department tests safety systems and supports innovative renewable energy projects. The regional teams ensure the safety of industrial plants and buildings. This role is also offered at other locations across Germany.

• Your area of responsibility includes the independent testing of safety systems in buildings and industrial plants, including: electrical systems, emergency power supply, emergency lighting, fire alarm and alerting systems
• You carry out construction-accompanying quality control and prepare expert reports including measurements
• In your region you work independently or in a team with colleagues and are supported by qualified back-office staff
• You support our customers in ensuring that official and legal requirements are met
• You use your network to expand the customer base and grow the business

• Academic university degree as an electrical engineer or a comparable technical field
• Professional experience in the planning, construction and operation of electrical systems
• Recognition or knowledge of building law and the trades to be tested, as well as experience in preparing expert reports, desirable
• Expressiveness to write meaningful and precise reports and expert opinions
• Fluent German, spoken and written, required
• Independent, reliable and flexible way of working
• Routine use of MS Office and mobile apps
• Driver's license class B and willingness to work in the field around your place of residence
