About this Apprenticeship
The vehicle damage assessment team prepares reports after accidents, determines damage costs and causes, preserves evidence and assesses changes in value. This also includes damage caused by hail, storms and other natural events.
What You'll Learn
- Assess accident damage and how accidents happened involving passenger cars, commercial vehicles and mobile machinery
- Use your expertise to define the repair steps and measures needed, taking account of all relevant technical, legal and contractual rules and methods for preparing expert reports and valuations
- Support our customers as a trusted adviser
Requirements
- Master craftsperson qualification in automotive technology or vehicle body and vehicle construction
- Alternatively, a degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable subject, combined with automotive work experience, for example as a vehicle inspection engineer
- Relevant experience in motor vehicle repairs
- Knowledge of expert systems such as Audatex, DAT or Schwacke is an advantage
- Strong focus on quality and a proactive approach to customer service
- Strong communication skills to produce clear, precise assessments and expert reports
- Class B driving licence and willingness to work locally at customer sites
