About this Apprenticeship
DEKRA operates modern vehicle test lanes at 74 branches nationwide in its testing division. Those not yet recognized or appointed as test engineers can join a comprehensive training program. The role is also offered at other locations across Germany.
What You'll Learn
- Independently carry out periodic main inspections and safety checks on motor vehicles and their trailers under § 29 StVZO
- Responsible for modification approvals under § 19.3 StVZO
- Create test reports and technical expert opinions
- Trusted contact for customers and use your network to expand the customer base
Requirements
- University degree in mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering or a comparable technical field
- Ideally completed vocational training and/or initial work experience in the automotive field
- If applicable, already appointed as test engineer (PI) or aaSoP in vehicle testing
- Routine use of MS Office
- Confident manner with customers and strong communication skills
- Service-oriented, independent and responsible way of working
- Driving licence classes A, B and CE or willingness to acquire them
- Willingness to work locally in the field
