Crane Inspection Expert

The service area extends from Koblenz to the Eifel. The Machinery & Equipment department ensures that work equipment, machinery and installations meet legal requirements and operate safely. This helps protect workers across a wide range of businesses and prevent accidents.

• Carry out initial and recurring crane inspections and inspect changes requiring approval under DGUV V52 and the German Industrial Safety Regulation
• Prepare clear, informative inspection reports, expert assessments and condition evaluations
• Plan incoming assignments and calculate their costs
• Support and advise customers and use your network to expand your customer base

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a comparable subject, or alternatively a master craftsperson or technician qualification with several years of professional experience
• Recognition as an inspection expert under DGUV V52 or the German Industrial Safety Regulation
• Professional experience and specialist knowledge of cranes and lifting equipment are desirable
• Knowledge of the Machinery Directive, the German Industrial Safety Regulation, relevant standards and DGUV regulations
• Fitness to work at height, as required for this role
• Strong communication skills to produce clear and precise documentation and reports
• A systematic, independent, reliable and customer focused approach to work
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Category B driving licence and willingness to carry out local field work
• Recognition as an expert for crane inspections is desirable but not essential
