Road Traffic Accident Analyst / Vehicle Accident Reconstruction Expert

Investigate and reconstruct road traffic accidents, check vehicles for technical defects and prepare expert reports, including reports for court proceedings.

• As an accident analyst, establish the facts needed to explain accidents and support the police with recording accidents at the scene
• Use your trained eye for detail to inspect vehicles for technical defects during traffic checks and after road traffic accidents
• Use your strong technical understanding and spatial awareness to analyse accidents or check measurements from police traffic monitoring
• Prepare expert reports based on your investigations, including reports for court proceedings
• Attend court hearings as an expert witness and provide reliable oral expert opinions in the relevant legal proceedings
• Use your specialist knowledge, forensic skills and trustworthy, reliable character to act as an important adviser to clients

• University degree in automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or physics, or a degree in industrial engineering with a technical focus
• Vocational training and initial professional experience in the automotive sector are an advantage
• Professional experience in accident reconstruction or analysis and road traffic accident investigation is desirable
• Confident use of MS Office
• Strong communication skills to produce clear and precise documentation, reports and expert opinions
• An independent, responsible and solution-focused approach to work and a professional manner
• Category A, B and CE driving licences or willingness to obtain them
• High adaptability and willingness to provide on-call cover at unusual hours
