Starting 1 September 2027 we are looking for you for the 3.5-year apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic (f/m/d) for DB Cargo AG at the Cologne site. The vocational school is also located in Cologne.

You will become a professional in the assembly, commissioning, and maintenance of railway technology Maintenance and repair of our freight trains, e.g., you replace brake blocks and fix door damage Metalworking with tools and machines – including turning, welding, drilling, and milling Occupational safety and quality assurance You ensure that our freight locomotives and wagons are always ready for use

You have successfully completed (or will soon complete) school and your school diploma is recognized in Germany Your German language skills correspond to at least level B2 You have manual dexterity and enjoy tinkering in your free time Your knowledge of math and physics is particularly good You enjoy teamwork Your committed, careful, and reliable work style characterizes you

For the success of your apprenticeship we provide the best conditions: You receive a mobile device from us that you can use for learning and privately. Depending on the apprenticeship year, between 1,324 euros and 1,531 euros per month plus Christmas bonus. * Remuneration amounts are valid from 01.07.2026.
