Cook Apprenticeship 2027

Three-year cook apprenticeship with Deutsche Bahn AG – DB Gastronomie in Frankfurt am Main, starting on 1 August 2027. You will train in a DB staff restaurant and attend Bergiusschule vocational school in Frankfurt am Main.

• Learn about buying, storing and checking the quality of food, as well as hygiene rules.
• Learn different cutting techniques.
• Prepare food and a range of dishes professionally for employees.
• Have the opportunity to create your own recipes.
• Gain an insight into the daily work of an à la carte restaurant during your apprenticeship.

• You have successfully finished school or will soon do so, and your school qualification is recognised in Germany.
• Your German is at least B2 level.
• You enjoy cooking and are interested in food.
• You are well organised and enjoy working in a team.
• You work carefully and responsibly.
• For the trial day after a successful interview, a health certificate with food hygiene instruction under Section 43 of the German Infection Protection Act is helpful; the local health office provides the instruction and certificate.
