Dual Study Program Railway Engineering IT Planning 2027

Your 3-year dual study program leading to a Bachelor of Engineering in Railway Engineering with an IT focus starts on 1 October 2027 at DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH in Frankfurt (Main). Theory phases are at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen in Gießen / Friedberg. You start with a pre-internship on 1 September 2027.

• Engineering fundamentals (mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, technical mechanics and computer science)
• Broad expertise in planning, design, construction and maintenance of railway facilities and the complex connections in railways
• Comprehensive insight into the main areas of railways and rail infrastructure
• Taking part in various projects, e.g. new construction and renovation of railway facilities and planning and expansion of telecommunications

• You have (soon) successfully completed your (technical) Abitur or have an equivalent vocational qualification (vocationally qualified applicants must meet the enrollment requirements at THM)
• Math and physics are your favorite subjects and you are also good at computer science
• Technical connections and railway operations fascinate you
• You are communicative and value teamwork
• Goal-oriented and independent work is natural to you
