Girls@DB – Apprenticeship Train Traffic Controller in the Operations Center 2027

From 1 September 2027, DB InfraGO AG is looking for trainees at its Hannover location for the 3-year apprenticeship as a railway worker in train traffic control (f/m/d). The vocational school is in Burgdorf. You work in a control center (signal box), watch trains on screens and set signals and switches. You work in a team of about 40 colleagues on an electronic signal box. The selection process includes an aptitude examination.

• Your colleagues show you step by step how to operate the technology in a signal box correctly
• You learn when to press the right keys and buttons to switch e.g. signals or switches
• You are often in contact with other employees in train traffic control and control centers as well as train drivers
• You are an important part of our team and enable our passengers to travel safely and on time

• You have (soon) successfully finished school and your school diploma is recognized in Germany
• Your German skills are at least at B2 level
• You stay calm and keep an overview even in demanding situations
• You gladly take responsibility and work with concentration
• Teamwork and reliability define you
• You are willing to work in shifts
