Specialist Physician for Child and Adolescent Medicine with Further Training in Diabetology / Endocrinology for our Social Pediatric Center (SPZ)

In our Social Pediatric Center (SPZ) you work as a specialist physician with a dedicated team from various professional groups with the goal of ensuring first-class medical treatment and comprehensive psychosocial support. We permanently care for over 500 children and adolescents aged 0 to 18 years who suffer from diabetes mellitus. As part of the Clinic for Child and Adolescent Medicine of the DRK Clinics Berlin Westend you have the possibility to quickly access the expertise of other departments of the acute care hospital when needed.

• You primarily care for young patients with type 1 diabetes, but also rare diabetes forms on ward and outpatient
• You are a reliable contact person for our patients, their families and relatives
• In rotation with colleagues you take on diabetological on-call duties
• You supervise our assistant physicians

• Completed specialist training for child and adolescent medicine / pediatrics / as pediatrician
• And one of these three additional qualifications: Additional designation pediatric endocrinology / diabetology OR further training diabetology of the DDG OR additional further training diabetology of the German Medical Association (BÄK)
• Experience in treating children and adolescents with diabetes with all modern therapy forms
