Get to know daily market routine: You learn the various areas of retail – from product presentation and customer advice to market organization and staff management. Understand business administration: You deal with business processes, analyze key figures and learn the connections between market, logistics and administration. Help shape the assortment: You gain insights into our diverse assortment, participate in assortment design and learn how sales-promoting measures are planned and implemented. Take responsibility: You contribute your own ideas, support organizational tasks and gain first leadership experience, for example during vacation replacements. Connect theory and practice: In regular three-month alternation between the DHBW Heilbronn and your Marktkauf market you connect your theoretical knowledge with practical experience on site. Your dual study program Business Administration Retail – Retail Management at DHBW Heilbronn lasts six semesters and concludes with a Bachelor of Arts. Besides fundamentals such as business administration, economics and mathematics you deal with retail marketing, digitalization in retail as well as human resources management and leadership. Moreover you can deepen your knowledge through exciting elective subjects such as "Trends in Consumer Goods Retail" or "Opportunity and Risk Management in Consumer Goods Retail". In the practical phases at Marktkauf you get to know the various areas of a market and can apply your theoretical knowledge directly in everyday work.
