As an IT specialist for system integration, you plan, install, configure, and operate modern IT systems, networks, and hardware components. During your apprenticeship, you will get to know the diverse IT landscape of HHLA – from workplace systems and data center infrastructures in our holding in the Speicherstadt to the technical IT systems on the container terminals. Together with your team, you ensure stable IT operations, integrate new technologies, and support our users with technical questions.

You plan, install, and configure modern IT systems, networks, and workplace environments and ensure their secure operation. You assist in the setup, administration, and maintenance of servers, network components, and IT infrastructures. In case of malfunctions, you analyze and fix errors using modern diagnostic and monitoring tools. You advise users on technical questions regarding hardware and software. You learn the structure, integration, commissioning, maintenance, and further development of complex IT system landscapes. You participate in exciting infrastructure and digitalization projects. You gain insights into the areas of network, IT security, data center, and client management – both in the administration in the Speicherstadt and directly on our container terminals.

Joy and interest in IT, technology, and digital technologies. Enthusiasm for networks, hardware, IT infrastructures, and technical relationships. A good MSA/secondary school diploma or Abitur/university entrance qualification. Good academic performance, especially in English and science subjects. Interest in working with modern digital tools and AI applications. Good knowledge of Office programs Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. A structured way of working, willingness to learn, and interest in solving technical problems.
